Kristen Seery is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, a returned Peace Corps Volunteer, and a graduate of the Florida Atlantic University Charles E Schmidt College of Medicine.
She is currently completing her residency and additionally writes medical cases for Online MedEd, a website devoted to the medical student and resident education and test prep. In her spare time, she runs Coach Kristen, MD, a health coaching business on a mission to help people integrate the best of western medicine with diet and lifestyle modification for optimum health and vitality. She has a special interest in surgery and hence has contributed multiple publications to cardiothoracic surgery journals. Among her publications are “Coronary Bypass Surgery in the Presence of Metastatic Pheochromocytoma” in a 2015 issue of the Journal of Cardiac Surgery, and “Rautenberg Factor: Transfusion Constraints During Cardiac Surgery” in a 2015 issue of the Journal of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia. As a strong believer in the genetic basis of many disease processes, she is enthusiastic to be part of the team of contributing reviewers.
